Christmas of 1990, their daughter, Julie Powers started working for them to get their books on the computer. She has been with Bernie's since then.

Bernie's has moved several times since 1986 and is now located in the Plaza Mall on Tongass ave. Julie Powers is the manager and Bernie's is still very much a family run appliance & electronic store, stocking Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony & Samsung.
Julie has brought in small appliance vacuums by Hoover Eureka and Royal and kitchen counter appliances such as Kitchen Aid and Sharp microwaves.
Bernie's has a strong following for Fiesta stoneware collectors. Julie keeps a large stock of Fiesta dishes. At Bernie's you can find the latest in Home Theater and HD TVs competitively priced and service with a very personal touch
